Invented in an era before the breakfast sandwich as the perfect breakfast food, waffles serve as the magical synthesis of epicurean imagination and culinary perfection. They are also the center of an event that happens every Sunday at not only my apartment, but countless others. This magical event is “Waffle Day”. The community I have created, FFLE, encourages people to host Waffle Days and make creative waffles for groups of friends. The FFLE website with recipes will be launching soon! So stay tuned.
